Alex was very responsive throughout the process and was always available to answer questions / provide status updates.  The replacement was the result of a leak he responded to and the subsequent inspection.  He used photos to explain the condition of the old roof.  He also described the advantages of the current ridge vent system and treatment at the edges of the roof.  I asked about replacing the tongue and groove sheathing under the shingles and after discussion decided to go ahead.  Rake extensions were added at my request, and the gutters were replaced.  The new gutter guards eliminate the openings at the end where small birds were getting in.  Our house is split level with a walkway cover and an addition - 5 sections of roof in total.  All to say it was a larger and more complex job.  Due to delays in getting the permits, the weather was somewhat unstable and Alex watched this very closely.  He staged the work accordingly and used large tarps when a section was uncovered overnight.  He brought a large crew the day the roof was open to minimize the time it would be open to the weather.  Cleanup was very good especially considering the sheathing removal / replacement.  The end result looks great and has proven itself during the recent very heavy rains.  I later noticed some small cosmetic items on the new aluminum fascias / soffits that I had missed on the walkthrough.  Alex came back with 2 people, and they spent between 1 and 2 hours fixing them.   This is another example of being very responsive.
